Wind Stength: 20-23
Surf / Sea State: waves and big chop
Air Temperature: 10.5
Sea Temperature: 12
Weather: 10.5

Distance Covered:

Got down a bit before 11 to find seven already rigged and eight kiters out; and I thought I was a bit early! Most out on 5-5.6m, with lighweights down to 4.2m. The wind was forecast to climb so I rigged 4.7m. I was a little underpowered to start with then was nicely powered up for most of the time. Some nice swells to gybe off, but also a bit choppy. Coming in was great down some faces, and waves close together close inshore so gybing was erratic. Sea was much nicer further out, but quite a rip and waves taking the fin away, got a bit better after low tide.Sailed for about two and half hours. Mark turned up and wind dropped; he left and it picked up again; strange that. Other notbale was Paul cracking board and ribs. Nice to use just one sail, though 5.2m might have been a better choice. Wind dropped a bit and my head got cold as I was pounded in the surf so packed up after a great day, with 12 out altogether. 5* for the conditions
